Three-year-old program

Three-year-old preschool is a very special year for children and their parents. For many three year olds, it is their first experience in a large group situation away from their family and the familiar home environment.

Your child will learn to be part of a group of children with opportunities to learn and understand routines and to listen and follow instructions from other adults.

Social skills will gradually develop with opportunities for sharing, taking turns, controlling their impulses to grab and replacing these impulses with verbal requests.

The three-year-old program aims to give your child a strong feeling of self-worth, obtained by building confidence in themselves and their abilities so they may go on to learn, participate, explore and enjoy their four-year-old pre-school year and live life to the fullest!

Timetable of sessions

Our 3 year old program consists of 2 sessions per week as follows in 2024:

3-year-old transition to 4-year-old the following year

Children attending a funded 3-year-old kindergarten program are not eligible to access a second year of 3-year-old kindergarten. Children accessing 3-year-old kindergarten will transition to a funded 4-year-old kindergarten program the following year.

There is no repeat with 3-year-old kindergarten program, should you have any enqiry regarding 3-year-old deferral please contact our friendly kindergarten staff or enrolment officer.
